The joint Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)
and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) report issued
in November 2023 showed that the ongoing Gaza war has had a
devastating impact on the Palestinian people, their economy and
human development in the occupied Palestinian territory. The
analysis in this present report provides an update of the significant
macroeconomic and social consequences of the war based on four
projected scenarios: the war ending after six months; continuing
for one additional month; continuing for two additional months; and
continuing for three additional months.
